By combining two different types of layered nanofillers and making full use of synergistic effects, the frictional properties of the coating can be further improved. In this study, GO-MXene composites with “sandwich” structures were successfully prepared. Compared with pure PI, the tensile modulus of PI/GO-MXene composite coating is increased by 18.45%, the tensile strength is increased by 54.49%, the wear rate is reduced by 91.6%, and the coefficient of friction is reduced by 34.4%. This is mainly due to the “bridging effect” of the polydopamine (PDA) to form the GO-MXene-GO “sandwich” structure, which gives full play to the synergistic lubrication between GO and MXene.
