FeCoCrNiMo high–entropy alloy (HEA) was added into CuSn coating by laser cladding (LC), which highlighted the needs for more durable and wear–resistant alternatives. The effects of HEA mass fraction on the tribological properties were investigated, and the wear mechanism was also discussed in detail. The results show that the average coefficients of friction (COFs) of CuSn–xHEA coatings are decreased with the increase of HEA mass fraction, which are attributed to the lubrication effect; while the wear rates are first increased and then decreased, showing that the appropriate HEA amount plays the role of wear resistance. The wear mechanism is mainly changed from abrasive wear and plastic deformation to adhesive wear, which is attributed to the improvement of coating hardness by the addition of HEA.
